I'm a firm believer in food as medicine and that ill health is caused by poor diets, suboptimal lifestyles, and stress. My approach combines traditional Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology with an integrative and empathic care philosophy focused on nutrition, mindfulness, evidence-based screenings, and guidance, exercise science, and respect for the individual.  It has been the greatest pleasure and privilege to learn both the art and science of medicine through my father and his colleagues in our practice. I was born at St Margaret’s Hospital, and it is one of the greatest honors to serve the community.

Julie Flanagan, APN, MSN

• BA degree in biology and BS degree in Zoology from Southern Illinois University.

In 2008, I began employment at AGC.  First I worked as a RN until graduating with my MSN in 2009.  Since 2009, I have practiced as an APN at AGC.
